2026:

For HGVs over 7.5 t GVW and vehicle combinations with an overall length over 14 m, a driving ban applies on public holidays from 14:00 to 23:00 (on Good Friday from 15:00 to 23:00) as well as on the eve of a public holiday from 15:00 to 23:00. If a public holiday falls on a Friday or Saturday, a Sunday driving ban applies from 12:00 to 23:00. If a public holiday falls on a Sunday or Monday, a driving ban also applies on the preceding Friday from 15:00 to 23:00.

During the summer months from mid-June to mid-September, a driving ban applies on Saturdays from 04:00 to 14:00 and on Sundays from 12:00 to 23:00 for the above-mentioned HGVs.

The following route sections are affected:

D 8: on the route via DC 40 (Bakar) – Zadar – Split – Klek border crossing (BIH) and Zaton Doli border crossing (BIH) – Dubrovnik – Karasovici border crossing (Montenegro), except for the sections from the junction with SR 27 (Sibenik Bridge) to the eastern exit at Sibenik (exit to D 58) and from the Bilice roundabout in Solen to the exit to the terminal in Stobrec,

D 9: Metkovic-Opuzen – D8,

D 21: Kastel border crossing (SLO) – Buje – Kanfanar interchange, except for the section from Kanfanar interchange to Pula (exit to D 66),

D 23: on the section Zuta Lokva – Senj,

D 39: connection to the A1 Rotor Sestanovac – interchange to the D8 (Dupci),

D 66: Pula ( A9) – Rasa – Opatija – D8,

D 200: Buje (D21) – Plovanija border crossing (SLO),

D 300: Buje (D21) – Umag,

Z 5002: Novigrad – Tar – Porec –Vrsar (exit to D 21),

and on the access roads and in the area of the state ferry port of Split, as well as on the access roads and in the area of the state ferry port of Zadar.

Furthermore, for HGVs over 7.5 t GVW on SR 2 between Varazdin and Dubrava Krizovljanska, a Sunday driving ban applies from 06:00 to 22:00.

Public holidays: 1 and 6 January, 3 April (Good Friday), 5/6 April (Easter Sunday/Easter Monday), 1 May, 14 May (Ascension Day), 25 May (Whit Monday), 4 June (Corpus Christi),  25 June, 15 August (Assumption of Mary), 8 October (Independence Day), 1 November (All Saints' Day), 25/26 December

For trucks over 7.5 t GVW and vehicle combinations with an overall length over 14 m, a driving ban applies on public holidays from 14:00 to 23:00 (on Good Friday from 15:00 to 23:00) as well as on the day preceding a public holiday from 15:00 to 23:00. If a public holiday falls on a Friday or Saturday, a Sunday driving ban applies from 12:00 to 23:00. If a public holiday falls on a Sunday or Monday, a driving ban also applies on the preceding Friday from 15:00 to 23:00.


During the summer months from mid-June to mid-September, a driving ban applies on Saturdays from 04:00 to 14:00 and on Sundays from 12:00 to 23:00 for the above-mentioned trucks.
